To promote the importance of leisure to society and the human condition. We will do this by sharing knowledge curated and created by faculty and students through the World Leisure Centre of Excellence at Vancouver Island University.

Through the World Leisure Centre of Excellence, members of the Department of Recreation and Tourism Management conduct research and consultancy work.
